Bill
DeMarco is adjunct Professor in the Graduate Faculty of
Management and Senior Associate-Programs Development at
the Centre for Studies in Leadership. His research focuses
on the dynamic interrelationship between vision, strategy,
structure and organizational policies, practices, and
culture. Partly driven by his international senior executive
experience and academic training (Ph.D. Boston College)
Dr. DeMarco’s lifelong research is committed to
those areas of inquiry which lead to improved organizational
results. He specializes in identifying the characteristics
of leadership high performance, and developing appropriate
integrated performance management systems. These systems
are typically competency-based, and always contain measurement
criteria. Current research focuses on identifying and
implementing individual and institutional behaviours required
for high performing governance in both the private and
public sectors.
Dr. DeMarco has researched, designed, developed/facilitated
comprehensive executive leadership, organizational effectiveness,
and culture change programs for dozens of the world’s
largest corporations, including BP, CitiCorp., Dupont,
GM, Nokia, Panasonic, and Royal Bank. He has also been
the lead consultant for vision conferences, strategies
development and implementation plans, strategic management
and team building conferences, goal setting/performance
appraisal plans, corporate culture/climate reviews, incentive
programs, customer service audits, and competency studies
for public, private, and not-for-profit organizations
on four continents. In addition, Dr. DeMarco is a much
respected executive coach, specializing in organizational
and human effectiveness..
